4 Uses for Bar Keepers Friend

Bar Keepers Friend is a cleaning product that has been in homes across the nation for years and for good reason.  It is AMAZING.  We love using it for all sorts of projects throughout our home, both small and big. The powder and liquid version are both great, but if we had to pick one over the other than we would pick the liquid. It has a great scrubbing power and will leave all of your surfaces shining as bright as the sun.

This week we want to share 4 ways that we love to use Bar Keepers Friend in our home.

SINKS

We love to use Bar Keepers friend on both, white and stainless steel sinks. It will really make your sinks shine! Squeeze out a healthy amount of the product all over your sink, let the product sit and do the work, then scrub in circular motions with a wet microfiber cloth or Mr. Clean bar. Rinse and dry!

STOVE TOPS

Stove tops can be REALLY hard to clean. Bar Keepers Friend will make your life so much easier. Be sure to let the product sit (to do all of the work) before scrubbing. You will be so impressed with how clean you can get your stove top with this stuff! You will use the same steps as you did on the sink. If you have food that is stuck on the stove top and is really hard to get off then we have a trick on our IGTV using baking soda and wet microfiber cloths. You can view that IGTV right here.

TOILETS

If you have rings in your toilet then this stuff is going to help you immensely! I love to use the liquid version in my toilets. It makes a world of difference! You simply just squeeze the Bar keepers Friend in your toilet, let the product sit, then scrub with your toilet brush. If you don’t feel like it is working then be sure you are letting the product sit long enough. You may also need to scrub with a little more vigor.

HARD WATER

Bar Keepers Friend works amazing on glass shower doors and any other hard water spots in your shower. I have also had friends use it to get rid of hard water spots on their counter tops. A lot of people have asked if it is safe to use on marble… If you are going to try using Bar Keepers Friend on marble, I would proceed with caution! Use a very small amount and only wipe it on the stain. It should take any stains right off, but like I said, if you try this then you are going to want to be extremely careful not to ruin your counter tops. Wipe very gently and only use it on marble if nothing else is working. Do not use it daily (or even weekly) on these marble countertops. Use it on marble strictly for emergencies!

If you are wanting to purchase Bar Keepers Friend, then there is a great option right HERE.

We hope that you can find a way to use Bar Keepers Friend in your own home.  We know that you are going to love it just as much as we do! If you have any tips or tricks on how you use Bar Keepers Friend in your own home then please feel free to share them below!

Have a great weekend! Be sure to check back soon for more cleaning tips.
